The 2018-19 Friends of Modern Art film series at the Flint Institute of Arts debuts with a “road trip” comedy-drama starring Vera Farmiga and Academy Award winner Christopher Plummer.
A single mom (Vera Farmiga) must drive her pot-dealing father (Christopher Plummer) cross-country in an effort to hold her family together. Bobby Cannavale and Peter Fonda also appear in a film “full of quirky characters, clichés and metaphors galore,” according to the Washington City Paper.
