African American Film Series - The Possibility of Her

Presented by Communities First Inc at Flint Institute of Arts

Communities First, Inc.’s Culture Shock Program, in partnership with the Flint Institute of Arts, presents the 4th Annual African American Film Series. The event will be held at Flint Institute of Arts, 1120 E. Kearsley St.

Doors open at 5:30pm for a reception with live entertainment, refreshments and gallery tours, movie begins at 7pm and a discussion panel follows the film. There is a suggested donation of $5 per person for reception with live entertainment and refreshments.

A feature-length documentary which highlights 12 women of color who are actively involved in non-traditional careers or passions. The film delves into each woman’s personal and professional life discussing their beginnings, challenges, their take on gender norms as well as addressing some myths and misconceptions about women in their respective fields.
