GENESEE ISD TO HOST PRESCHOOL ENROLLMENT KICK-OFF EVENT

GENESEE ISD TO HOST PRESCHOOL ENROLLMENT KICK-OFF EVENT

Presented by Genesee Intermediate School District at Flint Children's Museum

The Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) is excited to get Genesee County’s youngest residents into the classroom to help jump-start their learning experience. GISD proudly provides early childhood services and preschool programs for children and families throughout the county. GISD also offers free services and classroom programs (income based). All children are welcome, including those with disabilities or cognitive delays.

To help families discover more about the opportunities available, GISD is hosting a free Preschool Enrollment Kick-Off event Sunday, March 17th, at the Flint Children’s Museum. Parents are encouraged to bring their children to learn about the various early childhood programs available. Kids will also be able to explore and play in the museum free of charge.

“The preschool enrollment kick-off presents a wonderful opportunity for families to learn more about the programs and resources available to children in our community,” said Tricia Hill, Executive Director of the Center for Countywide Programs. “Studies show there are numerous benefits for children who attend high quality preschool programs. Making sure children are in the classroom early will provide a good foundation academically, and it can also help them develop good social skills, both of which they will utilize throughout their lives.”

The Preschool Enrollment Kick-Off event is a great way to find out what’s available to area children to help ensure they have a successful start. Parents are encouraged to join us March 17th at the Flint Children’s Museum.
