Fenton Community Orchestra Spring Concert

Fenton Community Orchestra Spring Concert

Presented by Fenton Community Orchestra at Fenton High School - Ruby F Zima Auditorium

The two-night concert will feature four ensembles: FCO’s Symphony Orchestra and the Fenton Jazz Orchestra are under the direction by Andrew Perkins; FCO’s Simply Strings is directed by Jane Ball; and Wind Ensemble is directed by Joshua Tobias.  The FCO Symphony Orchestra and Fenton Jazz Orchestra will perform on both nights with FCO Simply Strings playing on Friday and Wind Ensemble playing on Saturday.

“We have some fantastic literature in our repertoire this spring,” said FCO Music Director Andrew Perkins. “I’m particularly enthusiastic about the Brahms Academic Festival Overture and the Saint-Saëns March Militaire. They are both masterful examples of colorful orchestration, thematic development and simply beautiful, exciting music. Additionally, we’re joining the many orchestras around the world in celebrating the 100th anniversary of Leonard Bernstein’s birth by performing selections from West Side Story. It will be a concert you don’t want to miss!”
