Come join The American Institute of Architects – Flint Section at the October Art Walk in Flint Michigan.
AIA Flint has revamped their “Guide to Flint Architecture” with a new printed map guide to local area buildings that represent the past, present, and future of this great city. We will host a celebration at the new ELGA Credit Union branch in Downtown Flint for October Art Walk. Light refreshments provided FREE!
We will be displaying our new guide for you to take away and use on Saturday, October 12th, for the Be a Tourist in Your Own Town. We will also display some of our recent community efforts: AIA Flint Scholarship Awards, Building Projects, and more!
The Flint section of the American Institute of Architects was formed to provide members better “representation”, allow for greater “participation”, offer greater “convenience” and to allow the local members, who have greater “knowledge and understanding” of local issues and needs, the ability to address them. With these stated reasons AIA/Flint became the fifth AIA Chapter in Michigan on September 30, 1960. The Chapter boundaries include Genesee, Lapeer, and Shiawassee counties.
