A festive African Drum and Dance workshop and concert featuring many master dancers and drummers from all over the world.
Join us during the weekend of November 8-10 and learn the art of West African drum and dance throughout the weekend with workshops featuring master dancers and drummers from around the world. See attached workshop schedule and instructors. On Saturday night (Nov. 9) we will be presenting the conference concert at 8PM at the University of Michigan Theatre, 373-599 Kearsley Street, Flint, MI 48502. The concert features our own Kuungana dancers, Assane Konte from Kankouran West African Dance Company in Washington D.C., and Idy Ciss, The concert is full of West African drumming and dancing, colorful costumes, culture and fun.
