A Salute to the Music of Flint and Genesee County: A Retrospective of Our Historic Music Heritage

A Salute to the Music of Flint and Genesee County: A Retrospective of Our Historic Music Heritage

Presented by Genesee County Historical Society at The Capitol Theatre

We’ve arranged for the rare opportunity to bring Sam Thompson to Flint and share his fascinating story.  If you’re a music fan, this is a special chance for you to hear up close and personal from someone who was in the center of Rock ‘n Roll and music history.

Along with Sam’s storytelling, we’ll be reviewing some of the history making artists, bands and DJ personalities from Flint and Genesee County and the musical legacy that they influenced and created.  Our retrospective covers everything from Rock ‘n Roll to Country & Western, Pop, Hip Hop, Opera, Punk, Gospel, Indie Rock, and more.
