Communities First, Inc. to Screen Summer of Soul

Presented by Communities First Inc at Flint Institute of Arts

Communities First, Inc., is excited to announce the 2021 African American Film Series in partnership with the Flint Institute of Arts.  This year’s series represents the seventh year of bringing this great series to the Community of Flint. This year’s series will return in the traditional format of an in-person movie.  However, due to the success of last year’s series, they have decided to present the insightful panel discussion live on Facebook the Saturday following the movie.  As always, the selections are designed to inspire, inform, empower and entertain the participants. The series will start on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 5:30 PM.

“Words cannot describe how excited we are to return to an in-person version of the African American Film Series.  We look forward to bringing this wonderful event to our community and seeing those that have come to love the film series over the last seven years.” said Glenn Wilson, President/CEO.

The series takes place once a month beginning in November through February and is sponsored in part by Cinnaire, TV 25, Gary, Carol, and Lynne Hurand, Genesee Health System, General Motors and The Flint Institute of Arts.
