The Robert T. Longway Planetarium was dedicated on June 26, 1958. Featuring 282 seats under an impressive 60-foot dome, the Longway Planetarium is Michigan’s largest planetarium.

The Longway Planetarium’s Learning Center provides opportunities for fascinating new learning experiences. These include hands-on science demonstrations, astronomy classes or telescope workshops.

PARKING INFO

For Longway Planetarium, visitors are able to park in the lot directly in front of the building.

PUBLIC HOURS

Monday-Wednesday 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Thursday & Friday 10 a.m.- 9 p.m.
Saturday 11:30 a.m.- 9 p.m.
Sunday 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Longway Planetarium is closed in observance of the following holidays: New Years Eve & Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve & Day

PUBLIC ADMISSION FEES

Genesee County Residents: $3 adults, $2 seniors 60+, $2 youth ages 2-11
Non-Residents: $6 adults, $4 seniors 60+, $4 youth ages 2-11
Members: Free
Free for children 1 and under
Free for veterans, military families, and teachers
*Please present your driver’s license or ID with your address on it to receive your discount.
